This line shape file represents all transit routes in the San Luis Obispo region, as serviced and maintained by the transit agencies in the region. This layer was developed with the purpose of maintaining transit route information for the region's multiple transit service providers, serving all jurisdictions in the region.
Transit route information is developed from transit schedules and other information from transit agencies in the region. Includes seasonal trolleys. This line feature class is a derivative of the street centerline file, which was combined collection of the street centerlines created by the San Luis Obispo regions various GIS agencies and quality control checked by Contact One.
San Luis Obispo Council of Govenrments (SLOCOG) developed the transit-related attribute fields and route alignments. SLOCOG continues to maintain this dataset. The street centerline file is credited to the following entities: CMRS, City of Atascadero, City of Grover Beach, City of Paso Robles, City of Pismo Beach, City of San Luis Obispo, MSAG database, CalFire, CalTrans, SLO Assessors Office, NAIP, Contact One.

All spatial adjustment for this street centerline layer were made based upon the 1 foot and 6 inch imagery provided by San Luis Obispo County and the 2009 NAIP imagery.
