For mapping and analysis of data from the U.S. Census Bureau for the 2010 Census.
This 2010 census redistricting geography database of San Luis Obispo County was developed from the U.S. Census Bureau's Redistricting Census 2010 TIGER/Line files. The San Luis Obispo County Planning and Building Department (Geographic Technology Section) downloaded this data from the Census Bureau's FTP site and added a few attributes (population and county supervisorial district) for purposes of redistricting of county supervisorial districts in 2011.
San Luis Obispo Council of Governments added many attributes related to population and demographics. Review the accompanying Excel file <Census2010_Blocks_AttributeFields.xlsx> for a listing and description of all attribute fields in this dataset.
Data originated at the U.S. Bureau of the Census, as 2010 Census Redistricting TIGER/Line files (01/31/2011). SLO County Planning and Building Department (Geographic Technology Section) generated the original shape file from the original statewide Census 2010 database. San Luis Obispo Council of Governments appended attribute fields to original shape file.
